Multi-hyphenate Teyana Taylor and her 5-year-old daughter, Junie Shumpert, are the stars of Paris Fashion Week. On Friday, March 5, the two stepped out in matching Rick Owens, turning heads with their futuristic style.
The mommy-daughter duo attended Rick Owens’ fashion show for the F/W ’22-’23 collection. They were joined by stylist EJ King.
“JUNIE and a lucky fan takes on Paris!!,” Taylor wrote for her 14.5 million Instagram followers. “[N]o shade @babyjunie4 really ate me up π©π€£ I wanna be like her when I grow up π©π€π€π€ Thank you @rickowensonline per usual the show was WOW, beyond amazing!! ππΎπ€π€π€π€” Taylor was also seated at shows for red hot clothing brand Diesel and Isabel Marant.
Junie is Taylor’s oldest daughter with husband Iman Shumpert. Shumpert and Taylor also share a one year old named Rue Rose.
The duo then headed to Disneyland Paris, which was celebrating its 30th anniversary.
“I had a half of day off so we came and celebrated the 30th anniversary with @disneylandparis & it was so much fun!!!,” Taylor wrote on Instagram. “[Junie] & her play date Logan had a ball! They were so excited to the point they thought they was gone have me running in circles. Aht aht!”
Fashion is one of the singer’s claims to fame and a career she has proved to be great at. When she first began making waves in the late 2000s, Taylor wore styles inspired by the 1980s and 1990s, even making sure her 16th birthday was on theme. Since then, she’s walked during BET’s “Rip the Runway,” and served as a model for brands like Diesel, Yeezy, Phillip Plein, and GCDS. In late 2020, she was also named the 1-year creative director of Pretty Little Thing.
Taylor makes sure to make style a family affair as well. In 2021, her family posed for a then-upcoming drop for SKIMS. See more images from the shoot here.
