On Monday, we announced our inaugural Girls United Summit—a virtual experience for Black girls looking to advance themselves, have critical conversations about important topics, and of course, have a good time while it all goes down!
We shared our list of speakers here— but check out our list of celeb guests who will also be participating.
Our virtual panels will include black-ish actress Marsai Martin, rapper Kashdoll, The Glam Twinz, trans model and activist Leyna Bloom and many more, with rising actress and influencer Reginae Carter joining us as host. Each woman included will bring her own unique perspective, offering a well-rounded experience for our girls.
We’ll also be hearing from the 6 ladies who participated in the ULTA x Girls United Beautiful Possibilities program. Plus, we’ll be giving viewers more info on the McDonald’s Black & Positively Golden Making Moves Now Pitch Competition, where a handful of young women entrepreneurs will be given the chance to win thousands of dollars worth of funding for their business.
Following the Summit, our official GU after party will feature performances from rappers G.L.A.M., DonMonique and Tobe Ngiwe. DJ Cuppy will be on the 1’s and 2’s, while GU favorite Christina Beliard will be hosting the event. Stay tuned for more names.
The event will be taking place on Saturday, October 10, from 6-9 pm EST.
We can’t wait to see you there!
The 2020 ESSENCE Girls United Summit is sponsored by ULTA Beauty and McDonald’s.
