‘Pretty Little Liars: Original Sin’ Star Zaria Answers All Of Your Burning Season Finale Questions

Warning: spoiler alerts ahead!

We’ve got a secret – can you keep it? Girls United got Pretty Little Liars: Original Sin star Zaria for an exclusive Instagram Live interview to talk about all things season finale. Warning: if you haven’t watched the finale yet, these spoilers may ruin you.

Now streaming on HBO Max, it’s safe to say that Pretty Little Liars: Original Sin did what needed to be done in a matter of 10 hour-long episodes in just a few short weeks. From beginning to end, Faran (Zaria), Tabby (Chandler Kinney), Imogen (Bailee Madison), Mouse (Malia Pyles), and Noa (Maia Reficco) took us on a whirlwind of emotions through Millwood as the girls tackled relationships, school projects, and uncovering the mysterious identity of “A.”

During our Instagram Live chat, Zaria dished on her thoughts about the PLLOS season finale, her scariest scenes to film, and her thoughts on Faran’s growth throughout the first season. (FYI: we tried to get the scoop on the possibility of a next season!)

Principal Clanton As “A” In Pretty Little Liars: Original Sin

In the OG Pretty Little Liars on Freeform, we had Mona and Charlotte as “A,” and Spencer’s long-lost twin sister Alex Drake as Uber A. This time around, the HBO Max series uncovers faculty from the mysterious Millwood High as the driving force behind the A-team. Principal Marshall Clanton was the father of Angela Waters and the former lover of Rose Waters, Angela Waters’ mother. Clanton was inspired to take on the identity of “A” after watching the mistreatment of Angela by the Liars’ mothers, ultimately leading to her death by suicide.

“I really didn’t expect it to be him and when it was, I was like, ‘Oh yeah, that makes a lot of sense.’,” said Zaria as she laughed. While her character Faran and the other Liars “had some retributions,” the actress was shocked to learn about the age-old grudge that their own faculty member had against their mothers, and would be taken out on them. “That feels really rewarding when you don’t expect it to be that person but you it makes sense that it’s the person.”
