The upcoming episode “Excellence Is Everywhere” debuts on March 23

Bel-Air is opening up the conversation surrounding all things Black excellence through their fifth episode of season two. Peacock’s record-breaking drama series has been renewed for a third season. The show was Inspired by Morgan Cooper’s short film about the modern-day reimagining of the 1990s sitcom, The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air.

The hit show is produced by Universal Television, a division of Universal Studio Group and Westbrook Studios. Carla Banks Waddles serves as showrunner, writer and executive producer.

This new season picks up with Will at a crossroads as a new figure comes into his life who challenges what he’s learned in Bel-Air and competes for control of his influence.

He juggles this while navigating his home life with the Banks family and trying to rebuild the trust that was broken at the end of last season.

The episode focuses on Will’s struggles on his new basketball team, but he is nominated for a leadership award at Bel-Air Academy, causing issues with Carlton. The exclusive clip gives us a glimpse into the scope of Black excellence and what it means to the Banks family.
