Abbott Elementary
Our favorite teachers from Philadelphia are back for a new semester in February. The Emmy-winning show is back to take us on the journeys of the teachers and their students. From the sneak preview trailer, it seems Principle Ava Coleman has turned a new leaf and is ready to be stern in the halls of Abbott Elementary. “I went to Harvard this summer. I’ve learned what it truly takes to do the job of a principal,” she says. On February 7, 2024, we’ll see if she keeps her word and dive into what the educators are in for this new season.
The Vince Staples Show
Vince Staples is back in his acting back with his own Netflix series The Vince Staples Show. Through the trailer, the show seems like an entertaining depiction of what goes through the mind of the “Magic” rapper. The satirical show includes a star-studded cast, including Vanessa Bell Calloway and Andrea Ellsworth, and some special cameos fans will recognize. Executive produced by Black-ish creator Kenya Barris, the limited comedy is slated to have a five-episode drop on February 15, 2024.
Love Is Blind
Valentine’s Day just got even more exciting, not because we have a special date, but because Love Is Blind season six is returning to Netflix on February 14, 2024. If you’re an avid watcher of the pod squad then you know it’s time for a new rotation and roster of eager singles looking for love. Time will tell if we’ll finally get more Black participants, new favorite couples and even juicer drama. Grab your favorite wine or cocktail to kick off the new journey toward love.
Avatar: The Last Airbender
Fans who remember the 2003 classic are getting a special treat with a live action version of Avatar: The Last Airbender coming to Neflix. With the same mission to master the four elements, the series will take fans on a quest through Aang’s growth as he aims to bring balance back to the world after being conquered by the fire nation. Showrunner Albert Kim is bringing Asian and Indigenous representation to the platform on a larger scale to bring beloved cartoon characters to life.
