We know how intense student loans can be.
All students are trying to do is get a quality education, and many feel that student loans make them feel discouraged for even trying. While scholarships are helpful, they don’t always cover every cost, and it’s clear that post-graduates need some sort of extra assistance.
But fret not, ESSENCE and Freeform (home of sitcom Grown-ish) are here for you!
ESSENCE and the television network are partnering to give three students up to $150,000 towards their student loans.
To apply, students must upload a minute-long video, or a 300-word essay, about how helpful it would be to have their student loans paid.
Winners are separated into three categories, and the amount awarded will correlate with the 1st, 2nd and 3rd place tiers. The grand prize winner will receive up to $75,000; first prize will be up to $50,000; and second prize will be up to $25,000.

All winners will also receive an amazing trip with a guest to the 2020 ESSENCE Festival of Culture in New Orleans (July 1-5).
