Movies and TV specials have always been holiday must-haves to add that extra cheer and joy. From Regina King’s infamous shower scene in This Christmas to watching Jim Carrey become a total Grinch, holiday flicks unite families with unforgettable one-liners, songs and heartfelt moments, reminding us of what matters most during the season.  

This time of year is rooted in memory-making. With a new holiday line-up, a few new films give viewers a sense of original storytelling. This holiday season, check out some of these classics and hidden gems taking over the Christmas rotation that you and your family can watch this year.

Candy Cane Lane

In this family-friendly film, heavy hitters Eddie Murphy and Tracee Ellis Ross join forces as their characters race to ensure they break the spell of an evil elf to save Christmas before the clock strikes midnight.

The Will Packer-produced film has many relatable moments, from the sibling shade to classic Christmas renditions. This Christmas reminds us all of the importance of what it means to be a family and always have each other’s back.

Dashing Through the Snow

Ludacris plays a divorced social worker who takes his daughter on a ride along with him on Christmas Eve. Ludacris and Lil Rel Howery team up for a new adventure as they come together to help the community believe in the magic of Christmas.
