A$AP Rocky Confirms Relationship With Rihanna: “She’s The One”
After months of speculation, we can confirm that A$AP Rocky and Rihanna are officially a couple! The rapper shared the news today in an interview for his GQ cover.
“The love of my life,” he called her. “My lady…She amounts to probably, like, a million of the other ones…I think when you know, you know. She’s the One.”
Fans first suspected that the two were an item when Rocky interviewed the Jan/Feb ESSENCE cover star for Vogue. Even more rumors swirled about their relationship when they were spotted in Barbados (Rihanna’s home country) together during the 2020 Christmas season.
During the interview, Rocky revealed that his father is from Barbados, and the trip was like a sort of grand return. “It was like a homecoming thing,” he said to the interviewer. “I always imagined what it would be like for my dad, before he came to America. And I got to visit those places, and believe it or not, there was something nostalgic about it. It was foreign but familiar.”
The “Peso” rapper is open to being a father, too. “If that’s in my destiny, absolutely,” he shared. “I think I’m already a dad! All these mother——-s are already my sons—whatchu talkin’ ’bout!…Nah, but like, I think I’d be an incredible, remarkably, overall amazing dad. I would have a very fly child. Very.”
Rocky and Rihanna first worked together on a remix of the pop star’s 2011 song “Cockiness.” They famously performed the raunchy cut at the 2012 VMA’s. She then starred as the leading lady in Rocky’s “Fashion Killa” video a year later. They have since been spotted at the 2019 British Fashion Awards.
