Congratulations are in order to Lil Durk and his fiancée India Royale! The two got engaged on Saturday, December 18, after the “Lion Eyes” rapper proposed during a concert as thousands of fans looked on.
Both are from Chicago and they began dating in 2017. They share a child, Willow, aged 3.
Royale is a beauty entrepreneur and influencer. She has her own brand, India Royale Cosmetics, and is an ambassador for Fashion Nova.
Durk, born Durk Banks, brought his lady onstage to rap to her, and then as the song wrapped and she walked away, he dropped to one knee. “You know I love you to death,” he began. “You’ve been holding me down when I going through a lot of things. You’ve been the realest to me…Do you wanna be my wife?,” he said before cracking a big smile and putting the microphone to her mouth.
The crowd cheered and their presumed family and friends onstage did as well as Royale exclaimed “yes!” and embraced her future husband.
She shared the following shots from the sweet moment on Instagram.
The rapper shared that he wanted to marry Royale in 2019 during an interview with Philadelphia’s DJ Diamond Kutz. Of his plans of marriage, he said, “I just want it to be right — the right time and perfect. I don’t wanna just rush it just to be like, ‘I’m married.'” Royale has another child and Lil Durk has five children from previous relationships.
