Multi-hyphenate Keke Palmer is always on the rise and inspiring young Black women to believe in their talent. It has been revealed that the actress/television host has inked a deal with independent studio Entertainment One (eOne), for which the company “will manage worldwide rights and serve as the studio on all projects under the partnership,” according to a press release.
Regarding the news, eOne’s President of Global Television, Michael Lombardo shared, “As a woman of many talents, Keke has made a lasting impression on audiences all over the world. We are thrilled to be collaborating with her on several upcoming projects and are excited to see what next she has in store.” Palmer is represented by 3 Arts Entertainment and Hertz, Lichtenstein, Young and Polk.
Palmer also gave a statement as well, saying, “I am thrilled to be partnering with eOne to create entertaining, meaningful, fun television experiences that will deeply connect with audiences and be reflective of our current world…eOne’s commitment to allowing talent to bring their unique lens and lead the storytelling process made them an ideal partner for me.”
Palmer first gained national attention starring opposite of Angela Bassett and Lawrence Fishbourne in Akeelah and the Bee when she was 13 years old. She went on to star in a number of television shows, including Nickelodeon’s True Jackson, VP and Scream Queens, and also launched a successful music career. In 2020, Palmer made history as the first Black woman to host MTV’s Video Music Awards solo and was also nominated for a Daytime Emmy for serving as a co-host on ABC’s GMA3: Strahan, Sara and Keke. She will also be featured in the Proud Family reboot, for which she will portray a teen activist.
