NBA star Iman Shumpert and his wife, singer, model and director Teyana Taylor, have long been #CoupleGoals, but this Valentine’s Day was one for the books. For the lovey dovey holiday, Shumpert gave his wife three diamond ankle bracelets—one to symbolize their love and two more as emblems of their young daughters.
“Happy Valentine’s Day my love,” he said on Instagram.
An anklet for each gal and each knot we’ve tied to make sure it lasts.” He shared a gorgeous shot of the anklets, which were accompanied by Taylor’s blinged out, stacked wedding ring and tons of rose petals.
The couple has two children, Iman Tayla Shumpert Jr., affectionately nicknamed Junie, and Rue Rose, their 5 month old. And yes–they are the spitting image of their mama!
This is far from the first time the basketball player has showered his wife with meaningful gifts. For her 30th birthday in December 2020, he gave her an ARRI Alexa Mini LF movie camera that will allow her to take filming music videos to another level.
Shumpert and Taylor first met in 2014, but they were both focused on themselves after going through breakups. But, after Shumpert obtained a sports injury and Taylor was there to help patch him up, the now-famous duo became close. According to ESSENCE, they made one of their first red carpet appearances at Nickolodeon’s Kid’s Choice Awards in 2015. Later that year, they announced that they were expecting their first child. “I couldn’t be more happy than to share my first child with the woman I intended to have my family with,” Iman wrote on Instagram. While at the baby shower for little Junie, Shumpert popped the question and Taylor said yes.
Nearly 6 years later, they’re inseparable and we can’t help but stan.
