From his McDonald’s collaboration to platinum selling records and sold out amusement park-themed concerts, there’s no stopping Travis Scott and no doubt that he will go above and beyond in whatever he does. Now, the 30-year-old rapper will be venturing into film and direction.
According to Variety, Travis Scott’s Cactus Jack Films landed a production deal with A24. For those who may think the content studio’s name rings a bell, that’s because it is home to some blockbuster hits including “Moonlight,” “Euphoria” starring Emmy award-winning actress Zendaya and more recently Janicza Bravo and Jeremy O’Harris’ “Zola” starring Taylour Paige and Colman Domingo.
Cactus Jack is described as the “the multi-product mini-empire of Scott’s which includes alliances with McDonald’s and Fortnite, among other brands that feature elements of fashion, gaming and filmmaking.”
The “Highest In The Room” rapper announced his special partnership on Instagram earlier today and commemorated it with a picture of the script. “Life is a movie. So is this album,” Scott wrote. “@cactusjack and @a24 set out to bring amazing content for the future . Thru film and media. Starting with this.”
