New York Fashion Week has become a worldwide occasion based on runway looks, but more importantly, the street style we get to see from everyday people. The Brooklyn-based collective To Many More and Nike Women held a block party celebrating creativity and community for creatives of color.
Through various marketplaces and community organizations, it was a great way to wrap up the summer as we enter the new era of fall. With the seasons changing the time has come to get creative with street-style fashion, what better way to highlight the best looks than a block party?
“As always, we’ve curated the experience to include some of our favorite local Black & brown owned small businesses across food, fashion, home goods and more as we celebrate style, self-expression, and community in partnership with @nikewomen @nikenyc for NYFW,” TMM captioned on Instagram.
Streetwear has become a staple in the self-expression of fashion. With the effortless approach, fashionistas are able to sport a killer look comfortably and make a statement. “We’ve put so much energy & intention into this, and we’re so excited to see our vision come to life with everyone’s support as we continue to create these safe, inclusive and accessible experiences for the TMM & Bed-Stuy community to enjoy,” TMM posted on Instagram.
Whether it’s baggy pants or vintage sneakers, we’re spotlighting those with the best block party street style. Check out some of our favorite trendsetters on the scene at the To Many More Nike party in Brooklyn.
