On May 10, Grammy-nominated singer Halsey posted an Instagram reel that listed the multitude of conditions they’ve been diagnosed with. They opened up the video by talking about pregnancy’s affect on her health, saying, “My health has changed a lot since I got pregnant and gave birth.” They also wore a heart monitor in the video. At the same time, she updated fans on her health conditions, including Ehlers-Danlos syndrome, postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome, Sjogren’s syndrome, and mast cell activation syndrome.
In a recent video, Halsey also shared a short message with their fans detailing what’d been going on in their life health-wise, “I know a lot of you guys have been wondering what’s going on with my health…my health has changed a lot since I got pregnant and gave birth. I started getting really, really really sick. I’ve been kind of sick most of my adult life.”
Halsey then went on to mention they still had plans to tour, “Honestly I’m just so excited to be going on tour because it just keeps my mind off everything and it keeps my body healthy because I’m so active and I’m doing cardio and stuff every day,”
This isn’t the first time Halsey has been open with their fans about their health. In April, they informed fans that she’d been “in and out of the hospital” for weeks. The “Bad at Love” made an early exit from the 2022 Grammy awards earlier that month and later revealed they weren’t “feeling super well.” In an Instagram story post, they went on to say, “Trying my best to keep things normal; Grammys, Coachella, etc., but my body is putting up a strong protest. And ultimately demanding that I slow down or stop foreal this time. Especially so I can be in the best shape for tour.”
