Get ready for year 2 of another one-of-a-kind experience created specifically for today’s young Black changemakers who aren’t afraid to shake sh*t up! Coming to you live from Atlanta, GA before an audience of local HBCU students on Saturday, October 9 from 3PM EST – 7PM EST, this year’s summit will serve as a safe space focusing on the issues most important to today’s young Black women.

The 2021 GU Summit will see a community of young innovators, artists, activists, entrepreneurs and thought leaders unite to unpack topics including career, relationships, mental health, social activism, gender identity and more. Through sisterhood and the exchange of information, the experience will empower Gen Z Black women to reach new heights.

“We are so proud to present our 2nd annual ESSENCE Girls United Summit. The world continues to watch as Black women continue to make incredible strides in politics, entertainment, sports and more.” said Rechelle Dennis, Founder of ESSENCE Girls United. “However, there is still critical work ahead in order to ensure that the future remains bright for our girls everywhere. The ESSENCE Girls United Summit will help to aid our Gen Z audience with the tools they need to break down barriers and achieve success in their careers, relationships, health and every area of their lives. We are committed to our girls every step of their journey. The work is too urgent, and the need is too critical.”

The 2021 Girls United Summit is presented by CBS’ The Equalizer and sponsored by American Airlines and McDonald’s.

The Summit will also stream live on ESSENCE Studios. For more information and to RSVP, visit https://girlsunited.essence.com/gusummit2021/.
