A Letter From Girls United About Social Distancing

Please stay inside.

Hi, friends!

We want to share a life-saving bit of information with you all. We’ll be brief and candid, we promise.

We know that the weather is getting nice and we’re all still home—and, truthfully, a little bored. But that doesn’t mean that it’s okay to go out. Social distancing isn’t over and COVID-19 hasn’t disappeared. There are still hot spots across the country, such as New Orleans and New York, and according to data from the New York Times, more than 50,000 people have died from COVID-19 to date. Therefore, it’s still very important to adhere to your city’s guidelines regarding lockdowns.

None of us should be out attending parties and turning up because it just isn’t safe. It’s disheartening to see images and videos of us engaging in activities that can put others at risk. Trust us, we know how much you all miss brunch, bar nights, and your besties, but having discipline and staying indoors is the best way for us to get through this.

So, keep on planning those post-quarantine looks and outings, and be as kind to yourself as you possibly can be. Let’s be the responsible, helpful squad that we’re known for being, and continue to stay in until we get word that it’s okay to get back out there.

With love,

The Girls United Team 💓
