In 2024, everyone’s goal these days is to go viral. For Laila!, it wasn’t a problem. A sped-up version of her song “Like That,” accompanied by a TikTok dance, spread like wildfire. At just 18 years old, she has already released her first album, Gap Year, and has been sampled by rising rap artist Cash Cobain. The New York native is spearheading the Gen Z wave in Hip Hop and R&B with a mix of smooth flows and modern beats.
Her latest hit, “Problem,” has taken TikTok by storm, alongside her other popular tracks “Soft Serve” and “Want 2.” This prodigy has brought a unique sound to the R&B genre, making a name for herself that will surely carry her from the TikTok charts to the Billboard charts in 2025.
This Saturday, October 12, the GU Disruptor Summit returns to Atlanta, featuring the internet’s favorite influencers, including Malik McIntyre, DeAndre Brown, Raymonte Cole, and Love Island’s famous winner, Serena Page, among many others. Laila! will close out the day by performing a few of her favorite hits on the main stage.
