This week, Instagramβs best-dressed went for relaxed luxe, favoring softer, less structured fabrics manipulated to exude major main-character energy. Think seductive draping, plunging necklines, and high luster textiles. There was also an obvious lean towards trends of the mid and late 2000s. But instead of jorts and neckties, we saw maximalist heel designs, nostalgic silhouettes, and show-stopping accessories.
New York-based creative strategist Nanci set the tone in a drop-shoulder blue mini dress with dramatic sleeves, a bejeweled choker, and silver jewelry with matching point-toe pumps. Meanwhile, makeup artist and digital creator Toyin took us back in time with a cowl neck halter top, three-quarter cargos, and the iconic Giuseppe Zanotti Cruel sandals in gold. Toyin finished the look with a colorful fringe necklace, a faux fur clutch, and funky accessories.
Continuing to channel the tail end of the 2000s, fashion stylist and designer Maya paired a sparkling green, knit shawl with pink, split-seam capris and white platform heels. Creative director Domo Wells demonstrated the versatility of relaxed luxe, throwing a pinstripe twill blazer from Acne Studios over a baby blue satin top. Elastic waist shorts and thonged lace-up heels in silver completed the look.
Letβs be honest; Instagram can be the best place to find your next outfit. There is nothing wrong with grabbing a little inspiration from the Internet, and these creatives brought the best style this week.
