The first day of fall has officially arrived! Though it may not be time for a pumpkin spice latte just yet, creatives proved ready for the new season by integrating some of fall’s most recognizable trends into their looks. The standouts? Those who weren’t afraid to remix the classics.
It’s only day one, but already, shades of red and burgundy are peppering the outfits of some of our favorite creatives. UK-based digital creator Marvy got inventive, flipping a blue stripe button-up backwards and cinching the waist with a brooch. A white skirt, a blinged-out burgundy purse, and sling-back heels in a matching shade made this the perfect fit to kickstart a new season. Gold jewelry and colorful resin bangles punctuated the look.
Coming stateside, LA-based multi-hyphenate Fatima took the burgundy trend a step further, going full monochromatic in a four-button, collarless blazer and matching skort. A handbag, sheer tights, and heels in the same color added to the fun, while a geometric ring and statement earrings were delightful maximalist touches.
With autumn in the air, there was a special focus on outerwear this week. Creative director and wardrobe stylist Lisa took to the streets in a black work jacket with colorful floral embroidery, while Shaina René, also a wardrobe stylist, opted for a structured, cropped denim jacket with frog closures lining the arms and shoulders. Keeping it chic, NYC model Amy Juliette Lefévre put a modern spin on a classic with an A-line trench atop a black, lace dress.
Let’s be honest; Instagram can be the best place to find your next outfit. There is nothing wrong with grabbing a little inspiration from the Internet, and these creatives brought the best style this week.
