As September fades in our rearview and we transition to the last chunk of the year, Instagram’s best-dressed are seamlessly styling their favorite summer pieces with classic autumn staples. Jorts are now worn with knee-high boots, while cozy knit sweaters are thrown over satin slip dresses, and cropped shirts get layered underneath leather jackets. Those who made the biggest splash didn’t shy away from color and adapted to fluctuating temperatures with style and finesse.
A casual Instagram scroll revealed chartreuse as this week’s biggest trend. Creatives styled the yellow-greenish color in a myriad of ways. Model and stylist Natosha Jordan boldly wore oversized chartreuse sweats and a matching button-up that was tugged off the shoulder to reveal a similarly colored cami. Brown mules, a grey suede handbag, and a red and white striped headscarf perfectly complemented the monochromatic look. UK-based art director Nay hopped on the trend, going for chartreuse ombré palazzo pants and a draped asymmetrical top in white.
Traditional fall attire – fur coats, argyle sweaters, and corduroy blazers – was out in full force this week. But, thanks to a rapidly warming planet (it was 80 degrees in NYC last Saturday), creatives have held off on putting their warm-weather clothes back into storage. The result? Gorgeous summer dressing in the middle of fall. New York-based multi-hyphenate Nehemie wore a red, semi-sheer maxi dress with gold disc earrings, a matching clutch, and black heels. Actor True Whitaker attended Acne Studio’s Spring 2026 runway show in a white, spaghetti strap dress with a deep side slit and a handkerchief hem trimmed by lace. Extended toe pumps in dark cherry, embellished with gold colored bars, and a powder blue handbag rounded out the look.
Let’s be honest; Instagram can be the best place to find your next outfit. There is nothing wrong with grabbing a little inspiration from the Internet, and these creatives brought the best style this week.
