Fall doesn’t officially start until late September, and – if this week’s looks are any indication – creatives have no intention of wasting what’s left of the warm weather. Vibrant colors, whimsical styling, and OOO (out of office) ready dresses took the main stage this week as we entered the final phase of summer.
Summer weddings are the perfect excuse to show off a gorgeous gown, and tonal shades of red, orange, and pink have been all the rage among wedding guests this summer, as well as low and basque waistlines. Influencer Tobi Ojora checked all the boxes in a ruched, drop waist coral dress. She topped off the look with a silver beaded bucket bag and minimal jewelry.
As for non-nuptial events, Every Stylish Girl took over NYC last Saturday, and fashion stylist Koko attended in a tiered, burnt orange ombre skirt and an off-the-shoulder, cropped bodice overflowing with ruffles and trimmed by frayed edges– proving that minimalism is on its way out. Meanwhile, in L.A., Teaira Walker attended a PH5 soiree celebrating the brand’s latest collection. She wore a purple, trompe l’oeil sleeveless dress complete with a squigly hem, paired with knee-high black tabis, tapping into this summer’s trend of wearing boots with dresses, skirts, and micro shorts in 80-degree weather. Very chic.
