Chloe and Halle Bailey lit up the red carpet at the 94th Oscars ceremony on March 27. The sisters arrived to the event together and wore stunning floor-length gowns for the occasion.
Chloe wore a purple off-the-shoulder beaded dress with a high slit. Her gown was designed by L.V.D.F., a fashion label the “Have Mercy” performer has collaborated with in the past. It was a busy night for L.V.D.F., who also designed some of the outfits for Beyoncé’s Oscars performance.
While the sister duo was being interviewed ahead of the ceremony, Chloe gushed about her sister, whose 22nd birthday coincided with the Oscars ceremony. “It’s Halle’s day today so I’m like Halle’s my number one,” said Chloe.
Halle opted for a similar style to her sister’s. She wore a custom made gown by Roberto Cavalli. Fausto Puglio, the designer, crafted the asymmetrical silk gown in turquoise for the occasion. “Halle My favorite mermaid at the 94th annual Academy Awards!” wrote Puglio on Instagram. “So fresh , young and beautiful in my number for Cavalli!” In fact, Halle’s gown was reminiscent of her upcoming role as Ariel in the Little Mermaid, which is slated to come out in 2023.
Halle was also a presenter at this year’s Oscars ceremony. She introduced and handed off the award for Best Animated Feature Film, which was taken home by Encanto, alongside actors Lily James and Naomi Scott. “The three of us have all had the privilege of bringing a beloved animated character to the live screen,” said James. “Animated films make up some of our most formative movie experiences as kids,” added Halle.
