Megan Thee Stallion Redefines Athleticism In New Nike Campaign

“Like I said, real hotties put other hotties on.”

If there’s one thing Megan Thee Stallion is going to do, she’s going to bring her full self to whatever she’s doing. The Houston Hottie stars in the latest campaign for Nike. Megan, who recently graced ESSENCE’s latest cover, brings Nike into her “hottie boot camp” as she breaks down her definition of athleticism and how she found her own way to be active as a rapper and woman in the music industry.

As she opened up the pop-up storybook on her desk, Megan Thee Stallion began to tell the tale of her personal journey with the definition of athleticism. Due to her tall and thick stature, her family encouraged her to try out sports such as basketball, volleyball, and track and field. “I tried them all, but they just weren’t for me. I knew I had to find my passion and do what made me happy,” she said.

For those who wouldn’t call her an athlete, Megan gave her haters a taste of what a day in the life of a stallion looks like. “Let’s see you run through 12-hour dance rehearsals, train five days a week, then perform in front of 50,000 people and squat 50 percent of the time,” she said in the commercial. She encouraged her fellow Hotties to not listen to the negative comments and live in their own truth as athletes, whatever that may mean to them. “Real hot girls know that no one can define us.”

The “WAP” rapper took to social media to express her excitement for her campaign with Nike. “I told y’all, Real Hotties put other Hotties on! So I’m sharing my fitness story to let you know sport is whatever ya want it to be,” Megan wrote in her Instagram caption. “Dance is my sport. Rapping is my sport. Performing is my sport. I am an athlete, and so are you. Learn more about my story with @nike and get ready to Train with Thee Stallion in the NTC App.”
