Lizzo’s Sparkly, See-Through Dress Was The Star Of Cardi B’s Birthday Party
On Monday, October 11, Cardi B celebrated her 29th birthday at LA River Studios with a dancehall-themed party. A star-studded sea of friends attended, including Shenseea, Megan Thee Stallion, Winnie Harlow, Ceraadi’s Emaza Dillan, Quavo and more. The bash even featured a performance by none other than dancehall queen Spice. There was one particular showstopper who came draped in a sparkly, sheer dress that took the night — queen Lizzo.
Lizzo broke the internet with her see-through ensemble that bared all. The “Rumors” rapper, 33, wore a lavender floor-length Matthew Reisman dress. She was styled by Aliétte designer Jason Rembert. Rembert also works with former GU cover starlet Marsai Martin, Issa Rae, Mary J. Blige, Lil Baby and more.
Additionally, Rembert and Lizzo have also created looks previously on her recent fur and pageant-sash style combo from Viktor & Rolf. They also worked together on her hot pink Global Citizen look and her all-white dress she wore for a promotional live on YouTube. They’re quite the pair, don’t you think?
Though most of the official photos from Cardi’s bash showed Lizzo barefoot, she assured her Instagram followers that her ‘fit came with a pair of shoes. “I wore Jimmy Choos for the record,” she captioned her IG flick.
In the same dress, Lizzo gave us “a soft twerk to bless ya timeline.”
It was accompanied by a snippet of “Get Low” by Lil Jon and The East Side Boyz. For her final Instagram post of the night, she gave us a carousel captioned, “Mood when ur too drunk to function at the function 🥴 (swipe for shoe reveal),” which gave followers a blurry euphoric selfie, a bedazzled sneaker, and shoe combo, and a gorgeous close-up of the artist’s lashes, baby hairs and flawless makeup look. Talk about a way to shake the room.
