Colin Kaepernick and Nessa Nitty Welcome Their First Child: “We Are Over The Moon”

Congratulations to the happy couple!

Congratulations to Colin Kaepernick and Nessa Nitty! The couple recently welcomed their first child, Nitty announced in an Instagram post.

“I thought long and hard about sharing our life changing news today. I decided to do so because today is the first day in a few weeks where I stepped out for work with a new life title – MOM!” she wrote. “Colin and I welcomed our amazing baby to the world a few weeks ago and we are over the moon with our growing family.”

The couple decided to share the news with the world after pondering whether to do so as it is a personal matter. “Recovering after delivery has been a journey (more on that later) and honestly I wasn’t going to share anything because this is sooooo personal to us and I realized I’m a complete mama bear!” wrote Nitty. “Colin is the most amazing dad and I’m soooo grateful that he is by our side for every moment of this journey.”

The photo shows the family of three smiling in a hospital bed. Kaepernick and Nitty have been in a relationship since 2015, according to The New York Post

“I know sharing this allows me to connect with you in different ways that I never imagined. My conversations and life experiences have already changed. And my world has gotten that much bigger thanks to our sweet little baby who has shown me how to love in ways I never knew,” added Nitty. “Thank you everyone for your support as always. Love, The Kaepernicks.”

The post’s comment section was immediately flooded with congratulatory messages from fans and celebrities alike. “Love to you all. And respect to you all. And wishes of endless joy to you all. How magnificent!” commented filmmaker Ava Duvernay. “Yesssss! Congratulations,” wrote Gizelle Bryant.

We couldn’t be happier for the couple and now family of three.
