FlyQuest & Von Dutch Bring Y2K Fashion Nostalgia To Worlds 2025

This exclusive capsule redefines esports merch with a Y2K aesthetic made to be worn both on the world stage and in everyday streetwear.
FlyQuest & Von Dutch Bring Y2K Fashion Nostalgia To Worlds 2025
By Kori Nicole Barnes · Updated December 9, 2025

In esports, there are collaborations and there are cultural moments. The latest partnership between FlyQuest and Von Dutch is unmistakably the latter. At the League of Legends World Championship, FlyQuest debuted a Y2K-inspired capsule that merges competitive gameplay with early-2000s nostalgia in a way the gaming world hasn’t seen before.

This collaboration builds on FlyQuest’s buzzy “League Is Dead” campaign, transforming it into a Worlds-ready identity that’s retro, daring, and fashion-forward. The FlyQuest x Von Dutch Worlds 2025 Collection is more than a merch drop—it’s a statement on how gaming culture increasingly intersects with mainstream style.

The League of Legends World Championship draws tens of millions of viewers globally each year. As esports becomes a massive intersection of entertainment, athleticism, and art, FlyQuest’s fashion-forward approach is as attention-grabbing as the gameplay itself. This collection reflects more than a jersey; it signals a cultural shift in how gaming is consumed, celebrated, and expressed in everyday life. Fans now have a tangible way to merge their love of esports with fashion, reinforcing identity through style.

Serving as the official team uniform, the collection offers fans collectible, limited-edition pieces that fuse fashion credibility with competitive prestige. Key items include the Worlds Trucker Hat, a Von Dutch icon refreshed with FlyQuest flair; the 2025 Full Scale Jersey, with matching pants and jacket; and the Rattlesnake Tee, designed as an effortlessly wearable staple. FlyQuest VP of Partnerships Paul Cho emphasized the cultural impact: “Our first drop proved that gaming culture and style can collide in unexpected ways—selling out in less than 24 hours. The Worlds Collection takes that idea to the next level: gear that’s collectible, wearable, and made for the moment.”

Charles Xavier, CEO of Wealth Garden Entertainment, which licenses Von Dutch, highlighted the intentional design vision behind the capsule. “We wanted to change how the general market and gamer fans consume esports apparel,” he said. “Von Dutch celebrates individuality, creativity, and custom culture, which aligns perfectly with FlyQuest and the gaming community. This limited edition capsule is both an appreciation to fans and a statement about the evolution of esports style.” Xavier added that the collaboration is about creating lasting cultural relevance: “In a year or two, when other esports organizations start popping up with fashion-forward collaborations, people will look back and say, ‘FlyQuest did it first with Von Dutch.’”

Brian Anderson, FlyQuest CEO, described leading the organization as a personal and professional milestone. “FlyQuest is a legendary North American esports team,” he said. “I’ve been a League of Legends fan since high school. Taking charge is a dream come true, and I feel a responsibility to build an amazing legacy for North American esports.” Anderson recounted discovering an old notebook filled with high school League strategies, a nostalgic reminder of how deeply the game has shaped his life and inspired his leadership.

Anderson emphasized that the collection reflects FlyQuest’s philosophy of treating branding as seriously as performance. “This isn’t just apparel—it’s a statement about the direction of esports,” he said. “We’re merging fashion, culture, and gaming. Professional players now operate like athletes: disciplined, analytical, and performance-focused. Our branding deserves the same rigor.”

The partnership celebrates both nostalgia and modernity. Von Dutch’s Americana aesthetic combined with FlyQuest’s competitive prestige positions the collection as a cultural touchstone, bridging fans’ love of the game with everyday style. “It’s exciting to see esports presented as art,” Anderson added. “Watching pro players execute in-game plays has the same precision and creativity as top athletes in any sport. Capturing that through branding is what FlyQuest aims to do.”

Anderson also reflected on the intensity of professional esports. “Our players practice six days a week for nine months each season. Days often run 14 hours, balancing team scrims, individual positional practice, and strategy sessions. It’s a level of dedication most fans never see, but it defines excellence.” This rigorous schedule highlights that the esports stage is about more than flashy moments—it’s about discipline, preparation, and skill, much like traditional sports.

Fans now have a chance to express their love for the game through fashion. The collection is available at flyquest.com and select sizes via Complex Shop, with a free keychain included for early buyers. Quantities are extremely limited, making this capsule a defining moment at the intersection of esports, culture, and Y2K fashion revival. For enthusiasts and collectors alike, it celebrates both the competitive spirit of the game and the enduring influence of early-2000s style.
