Everything We Know About Doja Cat’s Clothing Line, ‘It’s Giving’

The clothing line reportedly features graphic tees, trucker hats, and more.

Doja Cat is releasing her own clothing line, It’s Giving. On August 21, the artist announced the launch via Instagram. She posted a series of photographs of herself modeling items from the collection – including a white graphic t-shirt with “Yes” printed in bold red letters, a thong, and a trucker hat.

The “Woman” artist also stepped out in public sporting items from the collection. Doja Cat paired her outfit with Balenciaga’s Le Cagole bag in pink, according to Hypebae.

The new line is unisex and includes a range of full-length and cropped t-shirts, shorts, a set of tracksuits with a matching hoodie, as well as underwear, trucker hats, and tote bags. The collection is listed under Volume 1 on the website and more drops may be soon to come.  For now, items are available for pre-order. Orders will ship starting September 30, according to Hypebae.

To announce the news of the launch, Doja Cat shared a teaser video on Twitter featuring a quote from one of her viral IG Lives in 2021. “It was supposed to give, but it did not give what needed to be gave to the highest of giving,” she is heard saying over bubble letters and an orange background.

Following the announcement, social media users accused her of stealing her collection’s name from Rolling Ray, an internet personality. In 2019, Ray went viral after filming a video of himself reviewing Popeye’s chicken sandwich, according to The Independent. “It’s not even giving what y’all said it was supposed to gave, no, I wasted my money,” Ray said in the video. Online users referred to Ray’s viral video as what started the popular phrase “it’s giving.” Both Doja Cat and Rolling Ray have since settled their disagreement.

This new venture is not Doja Cat’s first time releasing a collection. In 2021, she released the second drop in partnership with PrettyLittleThing, which was a success.
