“I am healthy, I am wealthy, I am rich, I am that bitch”
“I am gonna go get that bag and I am not gonna take your shit”
Last Friday, Yung Baby Tate ended the week with a bang – or a banger – as the Atlanta native dropped the official visuals for the critically-acclaimed anthem, “I Am”. Featuring Flo Milli, the three minute song is chock full of affirmations that you should be saying to yourself in the mirror every single day, and now there’s an accompanying music video for it.
The vibrant video directed by Andre Muir, who has previously worked with Mahalia, Vic Mensa, and Adidas, is giving us all the Black girl magic, “I deserve the finer things in line,” and “I’m gonna pamper myself because I am that bitch” vibes. And we’re here for all of it. Yung Baby Tate, who signed with Issa Rae’s Atlantic-backed record label Raedio, released her collaboration with Flo Milli back in December and it has been making waves across social media and music charts since its debut.
Yung Baby Tate took to Instagram to thank her team for all of their hard work including choreographer Sekinah LeStage and costume designer/creative director Abigail Petit. “I’m so grateful for the time and effort we have put into not just this video but my entire career,” her caption read. “I cried last night after seeing this video, surrounded by all my friends, family, & loved ones cuz we have come SO far, but I know we still got a long way to go!”
As we wait to see what else the 24-year-old rising star has in store for us during the remainder of 2021, treat yourself to these colorful and luxurious visuals for the official “I Am” music video. Check it out below:
