SZA is breathtaking on any day. It’s clear that the “Good Days” singer takes the utmost care of her skin.
In 2018, she opened up to Refinery29 about dealing with cystic acne, which is when you have painful breakouts that are deep within the skin. SZA revealed that she manages this by using natural products. “I use a Manuka honey mask to combat it and hemp oil to smooth out the surface of my skin,” she said. “I also use a Vitamin C serum and black soap, and that’s it.” She also goes to a dermatologist to get chemical peels.
SZA later gave tips to everyone out there who may be having a difficult time with their skin and feels hopeless. “Don’t get discouraged with your skin when it doesn’t do what you want it to do,” the 30-year-old said. She also encouraged fans to give certain new products a bit longer to take effect. “Give it some time,” she added. “Some of that s— takes a month to break through.”
In 2020, SZA shared what she eats, which we know directly affects the skin as well. When a fan asked her about her diet, she detailed, “[I] really don’t know a name for it lmao.” She then added, “No red meat (mostly fish), no dairy, no wheat no sugar…high veggie…complex carbs only (squash, avocado, sweet potato etc.), hella water [dassit].”
A Twitter user replied that her lifestyle sounded like the keto diet, but the singer shared that she eats natural sugars, such as fruit in the morning and starch, which separates her diet from keto. Still, SZA noted that she doesn’t eat fruit at night, nor does she eat it on a regular basis.
